Spring Giveaway Week: Win a Royal Berkey Water Filtration System from LPC Survival ($283 Value)

Royal Berkey

There are few things more basic for human survival and health than having clean water to drink.

My experience in the Philippines last spring reminded me afresh of how much we take it for granted that we do not have to struggle daily to access clean water, or for that matter, to access water at all. Those of us in North America or other developed parts of the world have such an incredible privilege of being able to turn on a tap to find drinkable water, safe from most types of bacteria, parasites, and disease.

Yet, even our water is not ideal. Run-off from commercial agriculture includes herbicides and pesticides. An alarming number of pharmaceutical drugs have been found in tap water. Then there are concerns over exposure to various heavy metals, among a host of other contaminants found even in our “clean” water.

Our family has always chosen to have some sort of water filtration system, even if it’s a very simple and inexpensive system like a Brita or PUR filter. A little over a year ago, we chose to upgrade to a Berkey system, based on many rave reviews that I had read, research and information provided by Berkey, and the fact that a number of health-minded companies I respected carried the Berkey line and highly recommended it.

A year later, I’m still so happy with our choice. Our Berkey Light is used constantly. The water tastes so fresh and pure. Friends and family that visit have commented on the wonderful taste.

The large capacity of the system is perfect for a family, as we can usually get away with refilling it about once per day (sometimes more if I’m using it for cooking water). It filters quite fast, although the best way to do it is to fill it before going to bed at night, for a full system of filtered water in the morning.

The Berkey Light. This is the system our family currently uses.

What exactly does the Berkey filter out?

Taken from the website:

The Royal Berkey® system removes pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and extracts harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, organic solvents, radon 222 and trihalomethanes. It also reduces nitrates, nitrites and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury. This system is so powerful it can remove red food coloring from water without removing the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other system can duplicate this performance.

For more detailed information on exactly what these filters remove, see this page.

I love that the filters are self-sterilizing and that they can actually be cleaned when they the filtration rate begins to slow down. You simply take them out, rub them with ScotchBright pads under running water, and put them back in. A set of two filters (each system uses two at once) will last for 6,000 gallons!

  2. I grew up in Mount Pleasant, SC and recently moved to Columbia, SC and the water is so much more ‘hard’ than what I’m used to from the ultra clean Mt. P water. 7. I would LOVE to win one! We live in a rural area, where there is a lot of farming, and so I’m almost sure there are herbicides and pesticides in our well-water. And with 5 kids, who drink water almost exclusively, I just try not to think about the contaminants as we just can’t afford a good filtration system right now. I would LOVE to win!

  8. I would love to have a Berkey water filter! We have very hard water and it often has rust in it even though we live in town. Also, I love the idea that in an emergency situation we could have access to good water because of it.

  9. I have heard about these systems before but thought our water (being well water) was relatively “safe”, the thought of agriculture wash off never occurred to us…now I am thinking we need to invest in one if we don’t win!! Thank you for the opportunity!!

  15. We are actually saving our Amazon gift cards from swagbucks for one of these! Our family wants to have one of these in case of an emergency, as well as to have clean water at all times. I love that you can pour pond water (minus the tadpoles) in the top, and have perfectly drinkable water at the bottom!

  16. We’re looking at getting one of these because we’re about to move to the Gulf Coast, literally right on the beach. It’ll be reassuring to have clean water during hurricanes. I’ll also be using it to filter water for my kombucha! Would be nice to win one rather than buy one 🙂

  17. I looked at the different systems and if I win I would like the Berkley Light System. I have a well and I have a filter system but this looks like something better.

  19. Wow! I would LOVE a Royal Berkey Water Filtration System! A friend of mine has one & she just loves it! It is way out of our price range though. I’ve been following a special diet to control my MS symptoms for almost 4 years now, & have recently started all of making my own cleaners (have been doing the basics for 1 year), shampoo, deodorant & lotions in attempts to improve my remaining symptoms. I have LOVED doing all of this! I don’t know if I would have started on this “journey” or not otherwise, but I am SO glad I have! It feels so much better to be doing things more natural & holistically! 🙂 Improving my drinking water is one of the last remaining items on my list… it would be SO awesome if you could help me out with that! :)))

  20. I would love to have one of these so I could feel good knowing we are drinking pure water!!

  21. I would love to win this because it leaves all of the good minerals in and takes all of the bad chemicals out!! Thank you!

  23. I’m saving up for one right now! Thanks for the giveaway! (I couldn’t like theberkeyguy on FB, either!)

  24. I am really excited about this giveaway. My husband and I have been talking about getting one of these for 6 months. Thank you.

  25. I’ve been starting to do more research on what exactly is in our water to make it safe, and all the chemicals that are considered hazardous elsewhere are going into the drinking water to keep it clean! My family has some basic water filters that we use, but I still have an aftertaste with the water. I would love to have a Berkley so that I know that it is truly clean water!

  26. I’d love the Berkey water sysem because we have well water and are surrounded by farmland, which, I’m sure, is full of nitrates!

  27. The water in my city is so bad. We had a consultant look at our house to set up a system, but he couldn’t do it, and we wouldn’t have been able to afford it anyway. I’m really interested in the Berkey Light.

  28. I would love to win one of these systems! I keep hearing how wonderful they are, but there is no way we can afford one right now with my husband unemployed. Thank you for this giveaway!

  29. I would love to win first of all for peace of mind but also because it looks so easy to use! Thanks for the opportunity to win 🙂

  30. What a great giveaway! Our family of 7 have been trying to save up for a Berkey – we hope to win!! Thanks!! :o)

  31. What a great giveaway! Our family of 7 has been trying to save for a Berkey – we’d love to win!! Thanks! :o)

  32. A water filter would be so awesome. We have an old reverse osmosis whole-house filter and it’s old and failing.

  33. I have wanted one of these since you introduced them to your readers awhile back. My family around here thinks I am nuts for wanting a filtration system but I want us all to be intentional about what goes in to our mouths. This system seems to be so wonderful and safe and gives out great tasting water but although I know it is really worth the cost….our budget just can’t handle this extra right now. We would love to win one!

  34. I would LOVE to win! It’s one of the things on my list to purchase soon, I’ve been reading about them for a long time. A must have for every home! Thanks for offering this giveaway…pretty cool! 🙂

  35. I would love to win a Berkey! It’s on my wish list, after reading more and more about all the yucky stuff that is in our water supply.

  36. I am so excited about this giveaway. I have been doing some research on this filter system and have read some good recommendations regarding it. Right now we buy our reverse osmosis water from the store and tote it home each week. I would love to be able to filter our own water, know that what I use is safe and not have to lug home gallons from the store! Thank you for the opportunity to win such a wonderful product!

  37. I would love to win a Berkey because i would like to be able to remove floride ect. from the water my family drinks.

  38. We currently go to a spring and fill glass jugs for drinking water because our water isn’t good. I would love to be able to drink water from the tap and the Berkey would allow us to do that!

  39. I’ve had my eye on a Burkey filter for a while. We use a PUR system now but I am tired of having to buy and replace filters so often. It also doesn’t hold nearly as much as I’d like

  40. This is THE next thing I am working towards and after review of the website (many times), I believe this filter is the best on the market. I even realize now that my former dream of a reverse osmosis system was not fully researched and I am glad I didn’t get one!

  41. We’ve been hearing about how awesome these filters are for a while now but we haven’t been able to fit them into the budget. We would be so grateful to win one of these filters!

  42. My husband and I were just talking about saving up for one for our large family! We would be so blessed to win one!

  43. I love our Berkey. Unfortunately I went cheap and bought too small a size for our family! I will be needing to upgrade to the royal size pretty soon. :/

  44. I really want to enter this give away but I’m being told I need to enable java script to click on the link (java script is definitely enabled or I wouldn’t be able to see the email correctly) So a thumb’s down for the rafflecopter (at the moment) but I would love to have a Berkey! Our town’s water is rather infamous for bad taste and weird stuff.

  45. I think this would be quite beneficial at the cottage- we dont have a good filtration system and Im a bit worried about what we’re actually drinking in the water :S

  46. I’ve been thinking about buying one of these for awhile now, instead of a filter on the sink. Thanks for the chance to win one…

  47. I love that this water filtration system is lightweight, portable, and works even if there is no electricity. I’m also intrigued that the filters are self sterilizing and re-cleanable. The percentage of removal of harmful elements in our water also impresses me. I am interested in the system as gas drilling in the area poses a potential threat to water purity…I would feel confident with this purification system that our water would be safe to drink. Thanks for the chance to win one!

  48. I couldn’t find the Berkey guy on fb. I’d love the water system. I had another system and this sounds better, besides mine needs new filters and they quit making parts. So, anyone who puts out a quality product and stays around, gets my vote!

  49. The brita isn’t quite cutting it anymore. I hate having to buy replacement filters and usually forget to change them often enough to do much good.

  50. I like the fact that the light doesn’t leach harmful plastic chemicals into the water and it looks like it would clean more of the chemicals than my Brita.

  51. We just moved into town and now have city water. I smell the chlorine in it and who knows what else is lurking in the water. It just doesn’t taste right. I don’t want my toddler drinking the water much else all the other family. This would be a great system to use for our drinking needs and peace of mind.

  52. I have one of these on my wedding registry!!!! it is going to be a must in our household. 🙂 🙂

  53. I have heard so many good things about the berkey systems. I would love to have cleaner, healthier water for my family and I to drink.

  54. We have a Berkey and we LOVE IT!!! It’s the best thing ever. I would love to win one for my mama. 🙂

  55. I am so enjoying reading your blog. Just found it a few days ago. This water filter system has been on my wishlist too for a couple months. I am fighting Lyme disease and am wanting to do everything I can to boost my immune system. I have a filter on my water here in town, but I know it is not removing the flouride and who knows what else… did I enter the giveway by commenting or do I need to do something else? I could not find a form even though I think Javascript is enabled.
    Thank you!

  56. I’ve seen and read about the Berkey system before and I would love to have one for our now expanding family. Baby #1 is on the way! 🙂

Also, I couldn’t find the Berkey Guy on Facebook.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  57. We’ve been through a lot due to contaminated well water – this would be soooo great for us! Thanks for the chance!

  58. Trying to purchase a water filter for our family is definitely on my 2012 to do list. This would so help the budget. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  59. We used to have a reverse osmosis system in our old house, which I trusted, but now without one, I would love to have some sort of filtration system, so that I could trust our water again!

  60. Have been looking at these for a long time. We have the water bottles and can’t wait to get a big one for the house. Saving up! 🙂

  61. Since we live with really weird chlorine water it’d be nice to have ‘clean’ water that I don’t have to worry about.

  62. Seems every where I look these days, I’m seeing Berkey Water Systems… must be the universe trying to tell me something, eh? The quality is certainly impressive and the fact that they use gravity in their filtration is a plus. Thanks for the opportunity!

  63. OH! I can’t think of a giveaway that I want to win more! Is there anything more important than healthy water? One of the big reasons I want to win the Berkey is that we currently use an RO unit, but I really don’t like how wasteful they are.

  64. I’d like to have a water filter for our barn lounge and this looks like it would be perfect. I love the look of it, too. It’s pretty as well as functional.

  65. I have seen and researched the Berkey water filter before. Many blogs that I read recommend it. I have contracted a parasite (giardia) from our local drinking water, so I know that it’s not the best source. I’m so excited that you are offering this give-away!!! I would love to have a Berkey for peace of mind that my family is drinking the best I can give them.

  66. I *LOVE* this giveaway. Our family firmly believes in emergency preparedness, and I saw that a lot of things on the website are FOR that purpose… perhaps even the water filter. I’m going shopping on this website!!!

    1. And the reason why I’d like one is because it removes all of the impurities our current system can’t handle.

  67. Clean water is a basic need of all people. In the event of a disaster this would be a primary thing to search for. We often have flooding around here and this would be wonderful for during that time especially. I haven’t really done a lot of research on filtration systems as we have pretty good well water, but this looks excellent. Thanks for giveaway.

  68. We live in the country, surrounded by conventional farmland. I would love to be able to rest assured that all the herbicides, pesticides, nitrates, etc are NOT in my family’s water supply!

  69. We had a reverse osmosis filter but haven’t gotten a fresh filter for it… it was given to us used and it’s expensive to maintain!! this looks great, I’d love to have one.

  70. We were hoping to save our pennies and buy a small one – I’m so thrilled they have flouride filters!

  71. I’d love a Berkey just for the peace of mind it would it bring. No worries about not having filtered safe water in power outages.

  72. Thanks for running these giveaways! We have been looking into the Berkey for a long time, for the healthiest water we can provide our family as well as basic preparedness.

  73. I’d love to win this because we go through tons of water for a small family and it would be a step up from the water we have now! Thank you for the amazing giveaway!

  74. We have a very outdated water filtration system in our house that needs to be replaced but we are lacking the funds to do it. We use a brita but who knows what stuff is still left in our water, this berkley would be a dream come true!

  75. Our Rural water is TERRIBLE and we don’t have any kind of filtrations system. We buy filtered water from a local store, but it is a hassel to haul the jugs around. Thanks for the giveaway!

  76. we’ve been using a faucet filter for years… would love to switch to a Berkey, a couple friends have them and the water tastes great!

  77. Hi! I just found your blog and I am excited to explore it more! I would love to win a Berkey light water filtration system because our family has been talking about getting some sort of filtration system for some time. There are so many to choose from and I took a break from searching. I like the idea that this is something you can take with you easily if you move. I was looking at the under sink options, but they get so expensive and there are so many features to choose from! I just want something that works and is not a gimmick. Even if it’s inexpensive, it needs to work or it’s still a waste of money! So this looks like the perfect option to start with to enter the world of water filtration!

  78. I would love to win a Berkey because personally I know how great they are, I had one and I had some family members with some really bad water, so we gave it to them because we felt they really needed it. However I sure miss my Berkey and would love to have one again. 🙂

  79. My folks have been talking about getting a water filtration system for a long time, I would love to gift this to them!!!

  80. My husband and I live in an area that is prone to wildfires. A Berkey water filter would be awesome because we are also on a well and if the power goes out we have to use water from our 55-gallon drum. Thanks for the chance to win!!

  81. We have a smaller water filter but I have been looking at Berkey to have a much larger quatity of clean water. Also, we camp so it would be nice to have a solution for that as well. Thanks for all the info you share!

  82. I’ve looked at these before and was really impressed at what it filters out. Much better than my PUR water filter. Will have to put this in my budget to buy later on in the year.

  83. We have a filter on the kitchen faucet, this would be a nice replacement which would result in cleaner water.

  84. I would love to win because we will be moving overseas in a few months as missionaries and clean water is a must. 🙂

  85. My husband and I have been praying to get a Berkey for a long time now to provide the cleanest, safest water to our family!

  86. I would LOVE to win this!! I have tried to “like” theberkeyguy on facebook, but it’s not coming up. Thanks for a great giveaway!!

  87. We have a well and the water taste wonderful but my husband has just suffered from kidney stones and I also did a few years back and so we were just talking about filtering our well water in case that is a contributor to the stones. This would be a wonderful thing to win and start in the right direction.

  88. My in-laws have the worst water! If I were to win this, I would give it to them as a 40th wedding anniversary present as it falls on Easter this year.

  89. I want to win one simply because I know it is healthier, and it might help my husband who has a chronic lung disease.

  90. i’ve wanted one of these for a long time… living in the city I know we don’t have the greatest drinking water

  91. We have to buy water – and we fill a 10gal blue water jug that sits in the dining room. UGLY! I’d love to be able to drink our well water thru a great looking filter container!!

  92. We had a counter top filtration but recently bought a new faucet and the system doesn’t work with it. Would love a table top filter so I can filter my water again. We have a great well but filtering improves it even more!! Love the Berkey!

  93. I have been eying these filters for the last week! We have really horrible city-water, and currently only have a pitcher-filter, that does NOT keep up with our water consumption (nor does it remove all of the things we would want removed)

  94. Oh! I would love to win this! Now that we have two littles, drinking clean water is so much more important to me, especially since our oldest drinks constantly.

  95. we’ve been jonesing for a Berkey for years…best on the market! would put this to good use, believe you me. 🙂 thanks for the giveaway!

  96. One of my friends owns the Berkey filter and loves it. We considered it, but the price was a little high for us at this point. However it really works! What’s more, I like that it can contain so much water, thus reducing the amount of refills.

  97. I’d love to have a Berkey filter! I’ve researched and am only waiting to save enough in the budget to purchase one. Winning it would be fantastic!

  98. I would love to win this. I have been looking into buying a filtration system. Ooohhh!!! It would be nice to win it 😀

  99. I would love to win one of these because I’m expecting our first child in August, and I’m more-and-more concerned about what’s in our water supply. This would be great for us!

  100. We actually used one like this for years and it was really great! Buying filtered water is so expensive. After our filter similar to this finally met its end, we got an under-sink filter, but it wastes water. I’d like to have a counter-top filter like this again.

  101. I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time but I just haven’t convinced the husb that it’s worth the cost.

  102. we have a glass jug that sits on the counter next to the sink. We fill ours every 2 to 3 days. We have a filter on our sink and we use an extra filter when we put water in the jug. I would love a Berkley water system as it would get out more “chemicals” than my 7 stages do now.

  103. I actually have this and love it, but I would like to win one to pass on to another health conscious person who can’t afford one. Thanks for the giveaway!

  104. I think the Berkey system will filter out more than we currently get with a simple filter. Cleaner water would be great, if we can figure out where to put the Berkey in our kitchen.

  105. One of our big issues is water during a power outage, whether it be caused by extreme weather or a traffic accident or whatever. We have water, but it’s not clean enough to drink. I’d like one of these for our emergency preparedness, so we could filter water from other sources. Like the rain barrel, or – in an extreme emergency – the pond.

  106. We are moving into our own place and will be looking into purchasing a new filtration system. Berkley sounds great – thanks for the review, and we definitely could use one.

  107. This would be awesome to use, especially as I have become more conscious about the water system due to having young children and wanting to raise them healthier.

  108. I currently have a reverse osmosis filter, but I don’t think it gets out all the bad stuff. I am looking forward to trying a Berkey water filter. Thanks for the post.

  109. It would be a great way to make sure our water is safe and free of everything! Thanks for this amazing giveaway!

  110. I would love to win a Berkey because #1 they are capable of filtering out flouride! And #2 because they are portable!

  111. I would love to have one of these! I’m trying to nudge my husband in a more “natural” direction in many areas, and I think this would be one way we could take another step in a somewhat painless way!

  112. Our water here certainly isn’t ideal and can go “murky” at times during the winter. Right now we have a countertop filter system that needs replacing, and I’ve been fighting the expense of a new filter for that. The water tastes OK but I know, without a doubt, Berkey-filtered water is far superior in taste and healthfulness. Additionally, it’s much more cost-effective. I’ve been wanting one of these for a while now, so would love to win this! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  113. I saw a Berkey review on Kitchen Stewardship a few weeks ago, it looks awesome! What an awesome giveaway!

  114. We live in a farming town, and I would have peace of mind knowing we are drinking pesticide free water!

  115. I need a water filter, and berkey is my first choice. I love that it filters out all the bad stuff while leaving the good minerals.

  116. I would love to win this because of refreshing tasting water that I can feel good about (all that yucky stuff like fluoride is taken out)!! Also, FYI, the Facebook link didn’t have “like” as an option but it had the option for me to add as friend, so that is what I did.

  117. I would like to win one because I am concerned about the chemicals in our drinking water, and I doubt that our pur filter gets them all out.

  118. Who wouldn’t want a system. I want one because nothing tastes better than clean, pure water (maybe chocolate does).

  119. We have been wanting one of these for a long time, we just have had to spend the money on other things! It would be awesome to win, thanks for the giveaway!

  120. i would love to win one! we have britapitcher but we drink so much water that we have to fill it up several times a day!

  121. My family drinks a lot of water… almost exclusively. I would love a good water filteration system for my growing family 🙂

  122. This is on our “someday” list. We’d love to have one of these…we have a brita…but we go through SO much water in one day and it’s slow. But, it’s what we have and we make it work. This would be awesome!

  123. I would LOVE to have one of these in our house. We’ve wanted a water-filtration system for years but haven’t been able to afford one. This would be great! Thank you!

  124. It’s not letting me like the berkey guy through the rafflecopter…says theres an error and I can’t find him on Facebook by searching. 🙁

  125. Sounds perfect for us!! Would love to win this! We both drink water all day, but we have to buy filtered water, so this would be great!

  126. I would like to win because we have well water and have found that most filters just collect sulfur and make our water smell and taste bad.

  127. My little girl is starting to drink water in addition to nursing– this would be awesome to make sure what she is drinking is pure!

  128. I would like to win one to have for safe drinking water during power outages during winter storms… but also as a safeguard for the uncertain future in our country!

  129. Would love to win this so we dont have to drink plain rural water and all its fluoride anymore.

  130. I had never heard of this filtration system until this giveaway and now I’ve gotta have one! Right now all we use is our fridge filter but only for drinking water. I would love to be using fresh filtered water for everything we do! Thanks for informing those of us who were uninformed until now of such a great product!

  131. I’d love to win, because we currently fill jugs at my inlaws (they have a well) to avoid city water. I don’t like buying water…this would make life a lot easier.

  132. I have wanted one of these for many years, but just haven’t made it a priority in our budget, taking for granted and with ignorance that we have “Drinkable” water…

  133. Berkey sounds like a much better filtration system than our old faucet-mount filter! Thanks for the giveaway!

  134. Not only do I wish DH and I had the money for this, I wish we had it last year, when I got sick from some…um…”nasties” in our public tap water. Apparently, cities can put whatever they want in their water and not tell you about it until 6 months later!

  135. We’ve been looking into something to use other than our Brita. This would be nice to win, so we could branch out a bit more.

  136. I love that I could just watch the filters once in a while instead of having to buy new ones constantly!

  137. A friend of mine has a Berkey and loves it! I’ve heard such good things about it. We would love to have one for our family.

  138. This could not be more perfect. We have been trying to save up some money to get one of these. Thank you for the give away!

  139. I love that this system fiters so many things!
Most other water systems only filter a few things!
I’d love to win! We are a large family of 8 and adding a baby in June!
I love the stainless steel look! Very chic!

  140. We drink a LOT of water, so something likes this would be very helpful! We currently use a Brita because we can’t afford a system like the Berkey. I try not to think of all the nasty things we’re drinking through our city water that our Brita isn’t catching. :-/

  141. I’ve wanted a Berkey for so long!!! I want to get all the mess out of the water that “they” think we need – and the stuff that gets in there by itself. I’m already doing everything I can to make sure we are eating safely – but we haven’t taken this last step with the water…

  142. I have been wanting one of these for a while. We have floride in our water so I would like it because of that plus all the bad stuff that it gets out.

  143. I would love to have a water filtration system! We have a shallow well and don’t trust it to filter our water sufficiently for drinking. This would be for health and peace of mind.

  144. Oh man, I’ve been wanting one of these for a long time!! I hate that our tap water has so many pollutants in it and I want the water we are drinking to be safe!

  145. I’d love to win a Berkey to filter out things my tap filter can’t. We’ve long wanted a filter to reduce fluoride in our drinking water.

  146. We have copper in our well water, so we dont drink it(just bathe and clean). Plus we have a newborn coming in July.

  147. Our family has been talking about getting a Berkey for a while now. We just experienced a problem w/ ground water contamination in our city’s water source and for 4 months had to drink bottle water or boil water (with a family of 7 that’s a lot of water to boil). The problem has now been remedied, but our water has reeked of high chlorine levels for the last few weeks. A Berkey would be of great benefit to us 🙂

  148. I would love to win this Berkey system because we have to drink water that has several times, killed the goldfish that live in our water tank for our horses. If the horses drink more than half the tank and we have to fill it up that much, most of the fish are dead within the day! Yuck! Thank you for the great giveaway!

  149. The Berkey system looks like a very effective way to get rid of the nasty stuff we don’t want in our water!

  150. Our water around here has an awful smell and taste. Plus I want to remove all the impuirties and have healthy water for my family.

  151. How do you enter the drawing? I clicked on the rafflecopter line and it says that the contest is over. Am I doing something wrong?

  152. We have very hard water with lots of chlorine. We have a reverse osmosis system, but I would love to see more of the chlorine out of our water!

  153. We live in a rural community with a high cancer rate. I’m convinced that it is due to the pesticides on the crops. I want my family healthy!

  154. I want to win this system because I looked at their studies. Brita filters and their kin do not actually filter well, or at all, the big nasties that want to avoid drinking. Ever since I read that, I’ve wanted a Berkey. I just haven’t had a chance to make room in my budget to get one.

  155. I love that this system works without electricity. So useful in all sorts of situations, but camping especially.

  156. Our local well is sometimes unreliable in the maintenance…it would be nice to be able to have a filter system in an emergency.

  157. I would love one of these because I have learned on their website how many prescription drug chemicals are in our water, along with it always smelling like chlorine!

  158. I have wanted a Berkley system for a VERY long time! My grandparents have had one for as long as I can remember and I absolutely LOVE it! We have hard water where we live and I would LOVE to win this for my family! I love the fresh taste from a Berkley!!!

  159. I used this kind of filtration system (different brand) starting in 2000. A couple years ago I upgraded to the Berkey. It is amazing the difference in the water that comes out. I would like to have a second system for a lake cabin, and for emergency preparedness.

  160. would love to the opp to win this!
ps tried to find theberkleyguy on fb and couldnt find it…the link you had wasnt working?

  161. I would love to have this for my family, no more small pitchers you have to fill several times a day (not good with a new baby on the way) and it looks like the more economic option. I love how it works!

  162. This has been on my list for a while, but then both my husband and I lost our jobs in the same month! So, after we get ourselves settled again, this is at the top of our list. Whoever wins this will be blessed indeed!

  163. I have been wanting one of these since about 1998! You would think, by now, I could have saved the $2.00 a month and purchased one. Every month too many items on my need list crowd out this item on my want list. I hope that I will not have to have this for contamination purposes before I’ve purchased one. Thanks for the chance to win one.
    Blessings to you…

  164. I would love to win, as i have been looking at these for a while, but the lack of funds have keep us from getting one.

  165. I have been thinking about updating our filtration system, a Brita pitcher, for a while. I use it for cooking and often I will have to wait for 2-3 refills before using it again and then inevitably my husband will walk in and NEED a drink of water right then. We live in an old house with old plumbing (1937!) and so I know we need better filtration, I just haven’t found the right thing yet. This may work for us.

  166. I love that this does such a great job of filtering without removing the minerals our bodies need to function well!

  167. My daughter works in an orphanage in Zimbabwe, near Masvingo. The water there is bad, and has to be boiled. Sometimes the children get sick anyway. This would be a huge blessing for the orphans!

  168. I’d love to win this so we wouldn’t have to keep going to my in-laws to fill up water jugs with their well water.

  169. My husband and I have been looking at Berkey’s for a long time, but have not yet gathered the funds necessary to buy one. We’ve started storing beans, rice, pasta, etc. But we still don’t have a way to provide clean drinking water in case of an emergency. Recent tornadoes have hit our area leaving us without power, and more tornadoes are expected to come as spring and summer approach. We know how vital it is to get this taken care of. What a blessing it would be to win, so that our family of 5 (with one more on the way!) has a way to make water safe to drink!

  170. I would love to win this because we’ve tried many different systems that have not worked and we’ve heard nothing but good things about these!!

  171. I am so pumped about this giveaway! We’ve wanted a berkey but don’t have the $ for it! I want to win a berkey because we are trying for our first baby, & I want my body to be clean and pure for him/her to grow in!

  172. I have wanted one for a while but my husband doesn’t see what the big deal is. I wanna prove him wrong…er, show him the benefits of having a Berkey!

  173. Currently we are using a water cooler. We refill the jugs from a glacier water machine outside the grocery store. Not the best I know, but it has to be better than plain tap water.
I would love to be entered in your drawing.

  174. We have city water that is pulled from the local river. Yuck! It is processed with all kinds of chemical. I would love to have a filter to remove all that stuff!

  175. I’d love to win this! We’re in serious need of a water filtration upgrade, and our local tap water is not good.

  176. This would be a blessing for my family. I’d love to give them pure drinking water! Thanks for the opportunity!!

  177. I would love to win a Berkey because there is high fluoride in our local water. Just one reason in a list of many.

  178. I would love to win this because I really want to have cleaner water for my family. We stopped buying bottled water b/c of concerns with BPA in the plastic, concerns for landfills, etc..but have just been drinking tap water which concerns me also.

  179. We are currently researching water filters as we need to change what we are using. This information is very helpful, and we would LOVE to win one!

  180. I’m afraid of what our municipality puts into our water as must as what is already there. I’d love this system to remove so much of the harmful elements.

  181. I’d love to win it . . . we have a small filtration (not Berkeley) system for drinking water, but there are 10 of us and it is always empty . . . I’d love a second system, or a larger one so we can always drink clean water!

  182. I love the idea of filtering out all kinds of garbage from our water. Now that I bake all our own bread, I’ve come to realize what a difference filtered water makes for growing healthy yeast. :o) Would love to have a Berkeley to help with that!

  183. I have heard great things about the Berkey system! I’m always concerned about the water we drink and would love to be able to rest easy knowing it is good water for drinking!

  184. Ever since you wrote about the Berkey system awhile ago we have wanted to get one! It’s on our list, but to win one would be great!

  185. My family loves to drink sweet, filtered water. Our water has a bit of a chlorine taste from the city supply. I think Berkey would be an excellent fit for us. 🙂

  186. We are on a well system and cannot drink our water because of high iron and sulphur content, so right now we are constantly having to go and get drinking water. A Berkey would be awesome to have and then we don’t have to worry about “running out” of drinking water.

  187. I think these filters are wonderful, but I just can’t afford the investment right now. I’d love to win one.

  188. These look so awesome, I have wondered about our water lately as we live about 1 mile where a dump used to be Nd since we moved here 3 years ago I have noticed I have been tired more. would LOVE to win one!

  189. I have kidney stones so I always filter my water and I have heard that this is one of the best filters to get rid of what I don’t need to be drinking

  190. We’re moving to a new house and we’ll have well water, I’d love to make it as clean as possible for my growing family!

  191. I have been looking at these filters, but it just hasn’t been in the budget quite yet. Would love to win one for our family!

  192. I’ve been wanting one of these for awhile! We’ve just moved and the tap water is not good comPared to where I grew up.

  193. I am so excited to be entered in this draw. My husband and I have been recently looking into these filters, but have not saved up enough money yet. What an amazing raffle prize!!! Many thanks for the opportunity 🙂

  194. wow that would be something awesome to have! i’ve been working hard at trying to get my family prepared for a worst case scenario, this would be a life saver!

  195. What a most excellent give away. I have been wanting one of these for a while. I live in San Diego and have horrible municipal water that not only is fluoridated, but contains chlorine and chloramine. I’ve been on a quest to improve my family’s health, one gadget at a time and our water is the elephant in the room. I keep overlooking it because it’s clear and “clean,” but it is so loaded with chemicals that it smells like pool water coming out of the tap and that can’t be good for anyone.

  196. We live in a desert, so clean water is an absolute must (we sure aren’t going to get it in the form of rain) and have wanted a Berkey for YEARS….it’s the best of the best!

  197. How wonderful! We recently had a skeezy salesman show up at our house and try to bully us into buying a system. This system has been on my list of ones to research!

  198. I’d love a water filter because I want to give my family the healthiest water possible. Also, the house we live in now has hard water and it doesn’t taste good at all!

  199. Just ordered the portable Sport bottle from Berkey and and so excited to try it. It would be great to win a big one for the whole family to use!

  200. I would love to win a Berkley filter because our water is so gross! We have oil fracking going on all around us and you can smell and taste the chlorine so well. Ick. Not what I want my kids drinking!

  201. I’ve dreamed of owning one for awhile. The idea of having filtered water right in my home sounds wonderful

  202. This thing sounds pretty great! I’d love to try one, but we definitely don’t have $200+ to spend on one right now.

  203. I don’t think I can adequately describe how badly I would like to have a Berkey. Hoping, hoping, hoping! 🙂

  204. Our family has looked at the Berkey’s filtration system for quite awhile. We would LOVE one!!! Thank you for offering this giveaway!

  205. One of my favorite things about the Berkey is that while it takes so much out of the water, it leaves the minerals in!

  206. I’d want one because our suburb;s water doesn’t always taste right an with 4 kids I try to get to drink a lot of water, I’d like all the contaminants filtered out!

  207. I live in the country and it is NOT convenient to buy water. I have little kids and we go through a lot of water! I really want one!

  208. I would LOVE this filtration system. Right now I’ve been mainly restricted to buying bottled water (expensive) and with a lack of good options, usually get distilled. This would be AWESOME as it would keep the much needed minerals in.

  209. Oh, I’d love to get the “yucky” stuff out — and have something sitting right there on the counter to remind me to keep drinking. 🙂

  210. Ever since seeing one at my MIL’s house, I’ve wanted a Berkey to upgrade from our current filtration system and to remove flouride from our drinking water.

  211. I would love to have a water filter as I just found out we’re pregnant again and want to have the best for this pregnancy and baby!

  212. We would LOVE to win this fabulous water filtration system! We have a reverse osmosis under our kitchen sink for drinking water but I am sure that it is not getting out all of the nasty bacteria and minerals in the well water here. We had a UV light but that has burned out and we cannot afford anything, let alone repairing that.
We are a large homeschooling family, and run 2 cottage businesses to try to make ends meet. Winning this Berkey would be a HUGE blessing and we would tell all of our friends and customers 🙂

  213. This would be fantastic! I’ve been concerned about our current method of water treatment but haven’t been sure what step to take…

  214. This is great! My little boy has a genetic disorder & he is really sensitive to chemicals in the water. My husband & I have been looking into water filtration systems for our home & this looks like a great place to start!

  215. I have been wanting to get a Berkey for my family for a while now. I love the chance to win one, thanks for the giveaway.

  216. I would love to win a Berkey…knowing that the water has has all of the “ick” removed would be awesome for peace of mind!

  217. I love that the filter is good for 6000 gallons. So easy. I also didn’t realize they are as compact as they are. The picture always makes it look so big. This could actually fit in to our home somewhere.

  218. We move around so much, being a military family, that we never know what the quality of our water will be. This would be a great blessing!

  219. We’ve really been wanting one of these for quite some time now!! It would be great to win one instead of trying to find a way to buy one! Wed love rhis most for our kids sake! So important to get our little ones off to a healthy start and learning how to take care of and nourish their bodies!

  220. The Berkey filter just makes sense! When I read the water report for our city I am always thinking of better filtration.

  221. Living in a home with over chlorinated water 🙁 Bottled water is not much better of a n option, the Berkey system would be ideal 🙂

  222. Our water isn’t great. A major company in the area is leaching chemicals into the local water. I would love to use this to further protect my family!

  223. i would love to win this water system. i have been wanting to try this for a long time and it would be great to win this. thank you for the giveaway!

  224. I am forever looking to stock survival items away since we live in a tornado prone area and knowing that I could filter our water would be wonderful. My goal as a homeowner is to one day have a whole house filtration system, but I’d love this in the meantime.

  225. This would be awesome 🙂 We currently use a Brita filter, but sometimes wonder if it’s getting MUCH out (like all the extra pesticides, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals).

  226. At first I wasn’t sure this would work for me as I am currently looking for a water filter that removes all the usual suspects PLUS fluoride. It seems that most do not; however, I was happy to see that LPC does offer add-on filters that do remove a large percentage of the fluoride (and arsenic) from the water source. So while I would still need to spend a little money on this filter setup, it would beat having to buy the whole kit-n-kaboodle!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  227. A Berkey would be so great to have on hand, especially since we depend on electricity to bring in our well water. When the power is off we are also without water. That way we could grab water from our lake and filter it through the Berkey. Thanks for giving us this opportunity.

  228. We are constantly moving since we are a military family. Knowing we can have clean water wherever we go would be amazing!

  229. I have been eyeing Berkey water filtration systems for over a year now. We have “city” water which have added chlorine and fluoride…eww. We use a PUR water system for our drinking water but it doesn’t remove the fluoride. I would love to win a Berkey water system…thanks for the opportunity! 🙂

  230. I have been saving for a Berkey for a while as I amhighly concerned about our drinking water. If we were to win, I may be able to put that saved money toward fixing our shower 🙂

  231. I would love to win this! We live in AZ and the water here is terrible, right now we use a water service that runs us about $50 a month. This would be such a money saver!

  232. i would love to win this – i have been eying these filtration systems for a while – they are so efficient!

  233. I’ve been eyeing the Berkey water systems for several years now. I love how well it purifies the water and having one that can store so much water at a given time which will make it more convenient, especially for using purified water for cooking.

  234. Awesome opportunity! I would love to win this giveaway. We have a special needs daughter who is tube-fed and blend her a whole food diet daily. I’d love to be able to take all the junk out of her water as well! This is the most efficient product I’ve seen to do this so far. Thank you for the opportunity!

  235. I’m so glad you’re giving one of these away. I know I almost certainly won’t win, but I can dream! My family lives in an area with poor quality water and I wish we were in a position to buy one of these.

  236. fyi…it wouldn’t let me leave my twitter name on both of those but it’s Purpose Home.

  237. We would love to have one! We live in a small community surrounded by orchards, so the well water has a lot of yucky stuff in it. Thanks for the chance to win!

  238. I would like a water filtration system, because I can tell a difference when I’ve “removed” toxins and chemicals from my life, in any area. The purer the better!!

  239. The water in my area is pretty bad. There has been a lot of testing to see if a plant a few miles down the road is contaminating the water. I have been dying for a water filter, but lacking the funds to get one. This would be a tremendous blessing. I cannot even imagine how much it would be used! Thanks so much for hosting this. Even having the opportunity to win such a wonderful prize makes me excited – for me or anyone else who is blessed with this.

  240. I was just looking at these online last night! I would love a Berkey for daily use, and it’s so nice to know that it would also help us be better prepared in case of an emergency.

  241. Thanks for the great giveaway!! I have wanted a Berkey for a long time! I really enjoy reading your blog:)

  242. We would love a Berkey, our old filter just doesn’t cut it…and needs to be replaced. Our desire is not to drink chlorine…..what a great give away!

  243. I’d like to win a water filter for my family. The water is really bad where we live and I think this would be a great blessing for us. Thanks!

  244. I’d like to win a water filter to give to my folks. I can hardly stand drinking the water when I’m at their house!

  245. I have looked at these before and unfortunately can not afford one at this time. I would love to win one because i feel that it would provide safer drinkingwater for my family.

  246. I would love to have one of these to provide water in an emergency situation and because there are some sketchy contaminants at “allowable” levels in our city water.

  247. I’d love a Berkey because our water tastes gross. I figure if it tastes gross, it probably is gross. A Berkey would make things so much easier because of its large size–it takes forever to get fridge-filtered water for chicken broth or beans or pasta 🙂

  248. Nice, cleaner, safer water would be really great! Maybe my daughters would drink more water that way?! Plus they look SO cool!

  249. I’d love to win a Berkey filter as I am working on building my health up right now and am not doing well with the horrible city water!!

  250. I would love to have one of these for easy water filtration. I’ve read about them before and they sound wonderful.

  251. The Berkey System would be wonderful to have! I really like the Rafflecopter form! So great! I don’t enter a lot of giveaways because it takes some time to go back and forth! That form didn’t take long! Love it, hope it works out!

  252. I have the Berkey sport bottle and like it when I’m out and about, or to have on hand for an emergency in which I may have to use any source for drinking water. But would LOVE a counter Berkey for everyday use.

  253. Although we have well water, I am not totally sure of what’s in it. I’d love to be sure I’m drinking the cleanest water possible!

  254. I have heard (and read) so much about the Berkey system. I’ve wanted one for a long time but haven’t been able to afford it!

    1. Oops, I hadn’t read all of the instructions for entering earlir. I want a berkey because our water is very hard and has a lot of undesirable stuff.

  255. I have been thinking our Brita system just doesn’t cut it. I love that Berkey removes so much and I think it would be quite an upgrade from the Brita!

  256. I am trying very hard to heal my body as well as my 9 year old’s. I live in a major city where the water is putrid, and currently I cannot afford spring water. I have a Mavea fridge filter but it does not actually filter much, just improves taste. I use tons of water to make soups and kombucha and wish I could have the satisfaction of knowing that my food and drink is clean and healthy! Thank you for the opportunity!

  257. I would love to win one of these because me and my family need clean, great tasting, nourishing water! 🙂 Thanks!

  258. I would love to win one of these because I worry about the contents of our water and what my children are drinking. We already use a PUR filter but it still tastes funny.

  259. We have used a Brita for over 15 years, but have always been interested in doing more. The Berkey system sounds like what we need. Thank you for the possibilities.

  260. I’d love something to filter out the chemicals and such from our city water that the Brita doesn’t get out.

  261. We’ve had a berkey filter for almost two years now. We’ve had some issues with it but I still like the product and appreciate being able to filter chlorine and fluoride in addition to other toxins in the water. Because I already own a berkey, if I won I’d pass it along to another family member or friend.

  262. I am currently using a filtration pitcher, but would love to win this Berkey so that I could have cleaner water on a larger scale. I drink almost exclusively water, so it’s important to me that it be as pure as possible

  263. I would LOVE to win this. We are 7 in my family and we constantly have visitors and extended family coming in and of our home. We don’t currently have a great water filtration system because amazing ones like Royal Berkey are difficult to afford, but of course a great investment. We would all be so incredibly blessed to win this! Thanks so much LPC and Stephanie!

    With love & blessings,

  264. I want my family to be intentional to drink our water every day, so I love the different sizes so that we can choose the size our family needs. This way we can see if we are drinking our daily amount of water or not.

  265. I would absolutely LOVE a Berkey!! I started saving for one until I found out I was pregnant (: That money has gone to cloth diapers! Winning this would be incredible.

  266. I love that it filters out all the harmful stuff, yet leaves the minerals in…the Berkey sounds like a dream come true! 🙂

  267. I’ve heard about the Berkey water filtration system before and I, too, have read that is the best out there. I really want to live off the grid at some point in the next decade, and a Berkey is on my list of must-haves 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!

  268. I want water without all the fluoride (and other junk) they add in our city!!! We have pretty terrible water here. Thanks for the opportunity!

  269. These systems are wonderful — I love the way they take the chemical taste (plus lots of less obvious things) out of the water for a great taste. We’ve used one for city water and well water, but need a new one now. Some missionary friends have used it for their well water in Kenya to eliminate so many health concerns. Thanks, Burkey!

  270. I am interested! I have seen it working in rural Alaska where muddy, orange water was made clear and pristine again!

  271. Oh my our water is so bad…I would love to win this…had my eye on for awhile but we cannot afford it…

  272. We lived in India and had a Berkey. I loved that thing. It would be great to have one. Thanks for sharing and hosting the giveaway!

    1. Opps . . I just visited the site. I would love this because it could travel with us . . . would be great for making my kombucha and water kefir soda and we could use it when we go car camping/backpacking! Yes!!! River water and streams here we come!

  273. I’ve wanted a top-notch water purifier for camping and emergency preparedness reasons for years, but it has never made it to the top of my budget list!! I would also be happier to improve my everyday drinking water, which I already filter, but which has no guarantee of removal of all the substances that the Berkey does. I would actually WANT to hydrate properly if I had one of these for me and my family!!

  274. A Berkey has definitely been on our list of things to get eventually… winning one would be even better!

  275. my mother in law got one last year and they love it! i would so enjoy being able to have one of our own. thanks for doing this giveaway!

  276. I get the Berkey guy’s emails each month and we really enjoy our Berkey. I would love to be able to give one to our daughter so she can drink pure water, too.

  277. I visited the site and I have been thinking about getting one of these systems for quite some time. We have a sistern that is filled with city water, chlorinated and with flouride. Would love to filter these things out of our water.

  278. we have a water filtration system currently but it doesn’t filter out half the things Berkley does! I would be so excited to win this and have truly pure water for my family!

  279. I’ve been eyeing them for a few years now but can’t take the plung fianicaly yet. I would love to have one. 🙂

  280. I really like the Travel System. That would come in handy for camping! One place we went last summer that we loved did not have any drinking water available… and we went through all of our water!

  281. Wow I hadn’t heard of this system before! It looks really cool. We’re moving and I was trying to figure out if there was some way we could put a filter system in our rental house before we buy our forever house. Soemthing like this would be perfect.

  282. Fresh water is a must. I’m getting sick of refilling my tiny Brita pitcher every day and wondering if it’s three month filters actually purify anything…

  283. I want to win to ensure I’m not compromising my kids health with all the unknowns in our water supply!! It’s so important to me, I’ve got the Berkey on my list of things to buy but NO money right now!

  284. I want to win because my son is on the GAPS diet to help heal his tummy problems & the Berkey would help us to keep our drinking water safe while on GAPS diet (so he can heal more quickly).

  285. We have been looking for a new way to filter our water. These are beautiful. Thanks for the chance to win!

  286. I would love to win this… I’ve been reading more and more about this system & would love to have it to know that the water we’re drinking is safe. I have a “system” but question how well it works. Peace of mind would be great!

  287. Our water comes from the Rio Grande River and even though it’s been filtered through the city, we will not drink it because we know there’s no way it is completely safe! I would love to be able to stop paying for our drinking water (we use 5 gallon containers with a dispenser – no bottles here!)!

  288. “We then tested the system under this extreme contamination level and absolutely no pathogens were able to make it through the purification elements.” Actual quote from the Berkley website. This is my best reason to purchase a Berkley water filtration system. I really want one now!!!

  289. We live in Indiana and have many tornadoes throughout the course of the year. I’ve been studying out survival safety with my family. We have been stockpiling food and other supplies and trying to have a plan in the event of an emergency. The water system is the last that we have yet to tackle it seems like an enourmous task to learn how to purify enough water needed. So when I read your ad of course I was thrilled and jumped at the opportunity to finish out our plan. Thanks for giving back I really enjoy all the work you put in to your articles.

  290. I would love to stop using Britta and then adding back minerals. It is such a pain and expensive.

  291. I’ve been growing more concerned about our water as I learn more about how and how often the municipal supply is tested, and what levels of contaminants are considered safe.

  292. I’ve wanted one of these for years! We’d use it instead of the refrigerator filtration system (the filters for the fridge are so costly and only last us 3 months).

  293. This system is fantastic, and one essential we have yet to find money for! Would be so blessed to win this.

  294. I have heard so much about these systems. I would love to win so I can be assured we’re drinking nice clean water!

  295. I would love one of these! Because they make the water safe again but they are way out of my budget.

  296. I, too, have been building up a survival kit for my family, and coming from the Philippines, I also understand how critically important it is to get clean water (and how difficult it can get). In fact, when I was a child, I didn’t listen to my mother when we went back to visit the little town we’re from, and I bought something at a local store that wasn’t made with the cleanest water. Needless to say, I learned my lesson quickly and painfully. I’ve been researching different water purifying systems, and I have to admit that I didn’t hear about this one until you blogged about it. Now I’m intrigued. I love how you can clean the filter and how the filters last for quite some time. I would love to win this. I know it’s a long shot, but if I do win, I would be very appreciative.

On another unrelated note… did you go to the Philippines with Compassion International? You’re so lucky! I wish I could have gone. It has been almost an eternity since I’ve been back, and my sponsor child is in Mindanao (an area I’m afraid to venture to alone). If you did, I’m glad you had the opportunity to go AND that you were able to visit safely.

  297. I think the Berkey systems are great!! They are economical and portable and gives you great tasting water.

  298. Hi Stephanie!!!

I would totally love to win the Berkey!!! I’ve been wanting to purchase one but do not have the funds right now…ugh! I tried entering the Rafflecopter form above but I’m not sure it took my info correctly; please include me in the drawing if you can. This would be such a blessing!!!

    Kathy :o)

  299. I have been wanting on a Berkey for some time now, I really would love to filter all of those nasties out of our water!

  300. We’ve got a Brita filter and that’s pretty good… But there’s still such a pronounced chemical-y taste :/ I use my Berkey Sport at work and it tastes a lot better! I would love for all of our water to be that clean!

  301. The Berkey Light looks wonderful–we live in the city and I would love to have safe water for my family to drink!

  302. I have been wanting to get a berkey filter for a while now but our budget just hasn’t allowed it. I’d love to give my family the best quality water! Thanks for the chance to win!

  303. We love our berkey, but I would love to surprise my mom with one as she’s just beginning her health journey.

  304. I would love to win this so I can use my tap water safely for drinking and cooking. Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂

  305. My friend has a Berkey water bottle and really likes it. That was the first I heard of it and now I have heard several people say that this is the way to go for clean water, who wouldn’t want this for their family.

  306. I’d like to win this for our friends’ cottage, which they have invited us to many times. We need to buy bottled water, as the water supply does not test up to drinking standards.

We would have loved to have this system when we lived overseas.

  307. Our tap water is terrible and we spend over 10 dollars a week buying filtered water! This would be a wonderful addition to our house! 🙂

  308. To be totally honest, I never worried about our water until our little six year old was diagnosed with cancer. We buy spring water now because we live in an older farmhouse. The challenge is having the spring water here for all of our cooking and drinking needs.

  309. I would love to win a Berkey because I live in a rural area with fields on three sides, and worry about what’s going into the ground and polluting my drinking water. These look like one of the best filtration systems around!

  310. I’d like to win because I’ve become concerned with flouride in my tap water and noticed you can purchase PF2’s to remove it! 🙂

  311. I have had one of these on my wishlist for so long…would love to win! Thanks for having this giveaway!

  312. My husband thinks buying a Berkey will not be much difference to our health. He seems to think pure water doesn’t exist. He used to work for a city water treatment and he believes the water is safe for consumption as is, and our fridge water filter is good enough. We also do not have the money for an expensive equipment. I would love to win this just because I don’t want to push this issue. I just know his health, and our health would be better if we can drink better water.

  313. i have been wanting one of these for soooooo long. i want the peace of mind knowing that our water is really pure!!

  314. I have been wanting a Berkey for a long time. After reading about the testing on Directive21.com, I am impressed even more.

  315. A friend just got one and we were investigating them. Could REALLY use this in our family (of 4) right now!! Thanks for the chance to win!

  316. I would be very excited to win the Berkey filtration system! What a relief it would be to know that most of the yucky was removed from our water! Thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway.

  317. I love the idea of a water filtration system that you don’t have to bother with plumbing changes and is big enough to only refill once a day. We have old pipes in our house and I’ve been wanting some sort of way to filter the water. This seems an ideal solution!

  318. I’d love to win a Berkey filtering system because our house is 60 years old…and the plumbing needs to be redone. We currently use a Brita, but we’d like something better. This would be wonderful! 🙂

  319. It would mean so much to our family. I can see these are amazingly effective but simple designs that would mean we could have easy access to much better water at such a reasonable price overall, and would be perfect for our tornado season emergency preparedness plan! Thanks for telling us about it. We’re convinced!

  320. We currently live overseas; it would be so nice to have such a wonderful filtration system since our water quality here is questionable at best. It would be such a treat to put this in my suitcase this summer when we visit the States.

  321. Thanks for the giveaway! I have never heard of this product. I use a tabletop distiller for our drinking water. Love the taste of distilled water.

  322. I have always wanted one of these! I have done a lot of research on them and believe they are about the best water filtration syustem there is.

  323. I would love to win because we live with well water which hasn’t been tested in almost a decade. I think I’d feel safer with a system like this!

  324. I’ve often worried about the safety of our rural water supply. This would be a great way to serve my family clean, pure water…

  325. WOW! These things are so nice! My family (5 of us) mostly only drink water and it would be so nice (and super convenient) to have filtration at home 🙂 great give away

  326. I have been wanting a Berkey for a long time. Been saving my pennies and still have a ways to go. Would love to have to give my family wonderfully clean water! 🙂

  327. Well, you’ve gone and made me want to buy one… but winning one would be much easier on the budget! 🙂

  328. I want to win a Berkey to improve the quality of the water we drink (our primary beverage here) plus I like the idea from a disaster recovery preparedness standpoint. Thanks for arranging the giveaway!

  329. I want to win one because they filter out everything. I had one someone loaned me before and it was wonderful!

  330. I would love to have a Berkey because we have been working towards preparing for a disaster. It would be so nice to have the ability to filter out all the terrible things in most water.

  331. I would LOVE to win this! I’ve been interested in the berkey water filter system for a while. We have city water, and I’d love to filter out anything else that’s in our water to make it taste better, and to make it better for us to drink!

  332. Oh, my! I have been wanting this for two years! I have been making babysteps toward changing our diet and have made great strides, thanks in part to your web-site. Now, I’m ready to purchase a berkey, but winning it would be oh, so much better!

  333. We live in an area with really horrible tasting tap water. I’d love to get it cleaned up and easier to stomach–not just so it tastes better, of course, though that’s a perk. 🙂

  334. I would love to win this. It would be great to filter out a lot of the fluoride and other things that are in our drinking water.

  335. I would love to win this! How easy to be able to fill up our water bottles with fresh water and go!

  336. I drink water all day long and would love to know that it’s actually healthy for me… And my wife is on a big Healthy Eating kick right now with getting crap out of our food and water so this would be a huge help.

  337. I would love to win a this system because we live in a dry climate and drink lots of water and I would love to know that the water we are drinking is really healthy. I’ll also be nursing a baby in just a few short weeks and want to keep up the milk supply on great water. We can’t squeeze our budget any tighter right now, though, so I would love to win.

  338. I love love one of these! I live in a big city with lots of fluoride and other chemicals. I use a filter but nowhere near as good a one as this. 🙂

  339. Good Luck to everyone!!! My friend has a Berkey and the water tastes amazing. I would love to win one of these.

  340. Our tap water tastes terrible. Our temporary (though going on many years now) solution was to use a brita filter but I don’t love the plastic and don’t feel like it does a great job. For a while, we bought water in reusable plastic jugs–until I learned about BPA! We’ve looked at undersink filters and I haven’t happy with all the cons. This looks like a great solution!

  341. I’ve wanted a Berkey for a long time… their thoroughness, longevity, and capacity can’t be beat, and as a renter, I love their portability!

  342. I’ve looked at these before to put into our recently purchased home because the water in our area is very hard and scary to drink. ;P

  343. I’ve read wonderful reviews of the Berkey system before. I’ve been wanting one for a long time, and winning one would be wonderful! Thanks for the giveaway.

  344. so many reasons to have a Berkey…make our drinking water better plus great to know we have options IF we can’t get water out of the tap

  345. I would love to win one of these. I like the large capacity and ease of cleaning. I’m totally over my Brita pitcher!

  346. I have been looking at the Berkley water system for some time, but we don’t have the money for a filtration system in our budget. Our water tastes really bleachy, and its scary to think of all the nasty bacteria my young son may be ingesting just by drinking a glass of water. Would love to win this product!
