Fresh Hope for Families and Soap Winners!
Two exciting things to announce today…
Clean water for families
The first is that through the 48 hour book sale, we raised almost $220 which is going directly to Compassion International’s Water of Life initiative.
What that means is that not 1 or 2, but 4 families will be receiving a unique water filter that will provide them with clean, safe drinking water for their entire family for a LIFETIME ($55 each)! Thank you so much for helping us to bless others and give them the hope of Christ through the work of Compassion.
Would you still like to help or contribute on your own? Check out my post on this amazing initiative and see how it is helping families, or go here to donate directly.
And secondly, we’ve got some winners!
Each of these 3 winners get their choice of any 2 bars from Apple Valley Natural Soap (who make my current shampoo bar of choice):
1) Andrea S (James.and.Andrea@)
2) Carolyn b (cboyd1071@)
3) Mindy (mindyjhurd@)
Congrats, ladies, and enjoy your soap!
How do you like shampoo bars as opposed to no-poo? Do you still use apple cider vinegar as a rinse?
@Kristen, I actually really like them. I find them a little less drying than the no ‘poo was at times. I still sometimes use either apple cider vinegar or just a natural conditioner (a very small amount- dime sized), and not every time I wash my hair. Overall, I’m very happy and might stick with this long term!
Good news all around! Thank you!
Kristen, I saw this on Facebook when Apple Valley posted a link to their blog:
http://www.applevalleynaturalsoap.com/blog/?p=214 It gives some good information on transitioning to their shampoo bars.
I need the enroller code for the Beyond Organic sponsor link.
Thanks,
@Tami Q., I think that you use the enroller code they give you right above the spot to put it in… in this case, #11537.
