Free Sample- Mineral Makeup Kit!
For any of you who have been considering switching over your conventional makeup to a healthier alternative (conventional makeup is just chock-full of toxic chemicals, which absorb right into your skin), here is something for you!
I was inspired by Lindsay’s recent post on the mineral makeup she uses in her daily routine, so I decided to check out the sites that she linked to. She mentioned that one of them offered a free sample kit, which totally sparked my interest!
Here is the link to the sample kit from Everyday Minerals. All you have to do is pay the $5 shipping, and choose your colors (which is what I’m currently working on). I can’t wait to get mine and let you know what I think of it! I have been eager to find an alternative to my regular foundation for quite some time, and I’m hoping this will be the winner!
Have any of you tried these products? Or from a different company? What are your thoughts and recommendations?
I have been using everyday minerals since the beginning of this year and I LOVE it! I was able to use the sample kit for several months before it ran out and then I ordered one of the regular size kits and the eye shadow kit I think that this will last for a long time and it doesn’t go bad so that ‘s awesome!! I also bought one of there brushes and it is very good for applying. My other brushes were really hard on my face. My husband loves it on me because there are no lines(I always had trouble getting the other blended in), He says I look like I’m not even wearing makeup – in a good way =)!!
I was just working in putting in an order for a sample kit this morning from them! I’m looking forward to it. 🙂
I have used Everyday Minerals for a couple of years now and I really love it! I use the foundation and blush primarily. I also have the finishing powder and concealer. I use the concealer sometimes, but never the finishing dust–it doesn’t seem necessary to me. The foundation can be applied lightly or more heavily–so you can adjust your level of coverage. I like the fact that I look fresh and not “made up” wearing this makeup.
Now, if I could just find a lip color and mascara that were more face friendly than my current choices.
I use EM! I use the foundation, concealer, blush, and finishing dust, and I have several of the eyeshadows, which I use pretty often. I’ve also tried the jojoba lip scrub, which I like, but unfortunately, I spilled most of it right after I got it, so I use the remnants pretty sparingly. In my last order, I got some of the horsetail Everyday Everywear (sp?), which I like, but it’s super hard to get the container open. The lotion gets on the outside of the container, so it’s then slippery. Oh, and I got lip gloss in my last order, too, and I’ve been using it a ton. I really like that.
One more thing: I think that the hardest part of EM is choosing colors. Sometimes it takes me days to decide what I’m going to get. I do order a new sample kit just about every time I place an order.
I got my sample kit in the mail a few days ago. I am still trying to get the application right, I’m not used to wearing (or applying) much makeup but I think I will like it once I get the hang of it. Does anyone that has used it have any application tips?
Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing the info! I’m ordering and cannot wait to try them!
I use another natural brand and was intrigued by the Everyday Minerals great color selection; it sounded so good…but I’m don’t feel good about supporting a company that belongs to PETA and all that entails. (info on their FAQ page)
Thank you so much for that link! I IMMEDIATELY went and made out my order! I have been wanting to try mineral make-up for a long time… now I can!
I’ve used EM for the past three years and absolutely love it! Their short creme-colored brush (I think kabuki, but not sure) is wonderful for applying the foundation. I’m between two foundation colors, so I mix them together and then divide the new color into the two empty containers, so instead of mixing each time I apply I only have to mix once. I also use their blush and lip gloss. Like Meghan said, I love the Horsetail but the container is impossible to open and gets slippery, which makes it even more difficult. I wash with the tea tree oil soap and never have any breakouts. Hope you love it too!
I just got my sample as well as my lip gloss (I LOVE lip gloss) and am SO happy with these products–for someone with sensitive skin which reacts to most dyes and preservatives I am amazed–and my skin is actually clearing up after using it, instead of breaking out as it usually does. Thank you so much for linking to this.
More and more cosmetic brands are coming up now days with their array of mineral and organic cosmetics. Thanks for this link for getting a sample kit from Everyday Minerals. 😀
It is true that the makeup that we use is too full of chemicals and harmful ingrediants which we are blind to and do not get to know.
Very excited to try mineral makeup
