A short break, but it will be worth the wait!

Just wanted to let you all know that due to the busyness of finishing my new site and completing the transfer, I won’t be blogging at all from now until Monday morning.

Things are going overall fairly well (I say that rather hesitantly) with a few major hiccups mixed in. Last night my husband came home from men’s caregroup to find me in front of my computer, crying. As I had been on and off for an hour. So yes, at moments, it is going that well. 🙂

If any of you have previously done the transfer from Typepad to WordPress.org, I would love, love, love to hear from you and how you overcame some of the larger issues of permalinks, broken images, cross linking, as well as adding graphics to sidebar titles and between posts, etc. My darling, amazing, brilliant husband may have solved the permalinks/cross linking issues last night (while spoiling me with a decaf coffee, accidentally made with the first sugar I’ve had in two months), although it will remain to be seen until the final switchover on Sunday. If you don’t have any clue what I’m talking about, don’t worry about it, because apparently (as proven by all the issues at the moment and my sheer incompetence to solve them) neither do I!

And in the meantime (ie. this weekend),if you find a bit of confusion between which site my url takes you to, pay it no mind. It will all be straightened out in the end. I would highly recommend just ignoring my blog, and washing your hair, or removing all of the lint from your dryer, or watching the grass grow… all of which would be much more exciting and stimulating than watching me in the midst of my confusion!
