Where would I be without my Polestar planner?

Ahh, there is nothing quite like beginning a new year with a fresh, new planner. And for the first time in years, I know which calendar I will use, because I have found something that I absolutely love! In fact, I bought my 2008 version about 3 months early, when I found it on sale, and it has been patiently waiting on my shelf for this very day.

I love my Polestar Family Calendar! If you are a mom, especially a SAHM, I would highly recommend that you check this beauty out! It is a large (8 1/2" by 11", but not too bulky), coil bound book. It’s best feature is that it opens to a week at a glance, and each day is separated into 3 sections- appointments, meals/kitchen, home. Down the margins, it has a to-do list on one page and a to-buy list on the other. It also has a good sized area for messages and notes.

The pages have tear off corners (so you know which page you’re on), and each month begins with a full page monthly calendar, as well as a page for writing monthly goals and projects, ideas, notes, etc. In the back it has Family profiles (birthdays, clothing sizes, etc.), Items loaned and borrowed, Dates to remember, a phone/address section, and tear-out grocery lists. I’m telling you- this planner has it all!

I have never had a planner that truly worked for me before, but I just had to share this one! I heard about it through the other moms in my homeschool group, and probably 90% of them use it, too!

  1. Wow, I will need to check this calendar system out. Sounds great! Thanks for the info! I love your blog and the information you have provided.

I could not help but notice your url. Our church has had a ministry here in America for numerous years that has nearly the same url but instead of Keeper of the Home it is Keepers of the Home. http://www.keepersofthehome.org/
It is a Titus 2 ministry based on Elizabeth George’s book as well as a book by our Women’s Ministry director.

I went through the program and it is awesome. Thanks for the ministry you are providing!!
    Blessings,
    Vickie

  2. Wow! Great idea! I use the Gooseberry Patch planner b/c it is so cute and fun and fits in my purse/diaper bag, but next year I may have to try this out.

  3. Vickie, that’s so funny you should mention that url! That was one of my original choices for my url, and it was already taken, obviously! Sounds like a good program! Thanks for the comment!

Oh goody, I hope I’ve converted some of you to being Polestar groupies, too! 🙂

  4. do you have any samples of the pages.
I love a good planner too, but I need room for homeschool planning for 6 kids.
I don’t need room for each but enough to plan menus, appointments, hs schedules etc.
    Thanks

  5. Linda, I’ll try to post a pic of the pages for you. I know a lot of homeschool moms use it, but I’m not sure if they use it for their homeschooling, or only homemaking/scheduling type stuff. Check back tomorrow for a pic!

  6. I just picked this one up at the local bookstore for half price, and so far, it looks great! Thanks for the review.

  7. I love this planner… I have been using it for years… probably last 6 or 7 years… I would be lost without mine. This year I decided to alter the front of mine because honestly I am not a flower girl and it looked to much like last years cover. So I made my own. Glad to see your wonderful review.
