Best price for coconut oil - Soaper's Choice

It seems weird to order food from a soapmaker's supply company, but I had extensive conversations with people at the company who assured me that their oils are high quality and definitely food grade. I get 7 lbs (that's 7/8 gallon) unrefined, organic, really excellent coconut oil for $27.30. Shipping is really reasonable. They're also my EVOO source. See my conversations with the chemist there and the link here:

Happy cooking!

My best price on coconut oil was recently through a small health food store in southern WA, where my mother-in-law knew someone who could get us a 5 gallon tub of really good unrefined coconut oil (not organic, though) for $80! Wow!
Usually, though, I split a 5 gallon tub with a family member or two, and we order it through Mountain Rose Herbs. You can get their unrefined, organic for $150, so it works out to $30 a gallon.

I have a question about the oil from Soaper's Choice--and it may be due to my ignorance! I currently buy 16oz of EfaGold's Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. 16 oz is a lb, for which I pay $10.99. Do they price it the same way? Do they do it by volume or weight? I'm trying to figure out if it is a better deal than what I currently pay.
Thanks!

Soaper's Choice is where I buy some of my oils to make soap. They do have great prices, especially in bulk.
ktarr - They do price/sell it by weight. I believe this is a requirement for labeling (in the US) for food items. We have to do this with our honey that we sell.
On a side note, I did a taste test the other day. I tasted three unrefined, organic coconut oils: Soaper's Choice, Spectrum, and Mountain Rose Herbs. All three had a great smell, but their taste and texture/melting feeling was very different. The Soaper's Choice and Spectrum were very similar, but the Mountain Rose Herbs' Coconut Oil was by far superior. The MRH oil's taste was fabulous and the way the oil felt in my mouth as it melted (so smooth and creamy) was amazing!
This is all my opinion and tastebuds!
If I did not have the three oils side by side, I would have thought the others were tasty.
